Currencycraft surfboards is florida local surfboard brand that specializes in custom resign tints and fun shaped surfboards. This client project conisited of creating a new logo that represents the fun color’s the shaper dylan likes to use when shaping these boards. The objective of the logo was to create a bold, colorful design that falls more twords the grunge, gothic typography and somehow incoperates a spider web. Creating the new logo for dylan to incoperate into his boards posed many design problems. Readablitiy, color and client constraints. The project required several re-eterations and color theory relation for different outputs on his boards. The logo concept is inspired by several small shapers and grunge surf trending design that features blacklettering typography and sharp edges or spikes. The design direction overall is loud and stands out with three color layering ontop of already tinted boards.
